Darkness

Tonight feels different than any other

It seems darker and more sinister

The darkness consumes me and I feel cold

I feel the wind and it chills me to my bones

I feel empty and hollow

Like there’s nothing left

To this body of mine

But I still continue to go on

Though my heart bears many scars

And my body has been damaged

I choose to live in this darkness

Because where there is darkness there is light
